Summary

This book reproduces all that Donald J. Trump said publicly related to the 2020 presidential election from Election Day 2020 to the end of his presidency related to the 2020 presidential election. Many of Trump’s claims about fraud or irregularities in the 2020 election are disputed. This does not necessarily mean they are false. With my comments, I mention which grievances are valid and which are not. But whether valid or not, Trump’s claims of election fraud were said to have led to an insurrection in Washington DC on January 6, 2021. Reading this book will help the reader to decide if in fact Trump’s comments led to that tragic event.

Preface

This book reproduces tweets and retweets by Donald J. Trump from November 2, 2020, the day before Election Day, to January 8, 2021, the day Trump was permanently banned from Twitter. With that ban, this book will serve as a record of his final two months plus of tweets.

This book also covers a controversial phone call by Trump and the major speeches Trump gave in January 2021. That phone call and those speeches expand upon his tweets.

The tweets and retweets in this book are presented in chronological order. Most of the tweets are about the 2020 election. But some are about other topics. Those have also been included.

Many of the election-related tweets were marked by Twitter with the disclaimer, “This claim about election fraud is disputed.” I have not always included this declaimer, but it is important to remember. Many of Trump’s claims in his tweets about fraud or irregularities in the 2020 election are indeed disputed. The same goes for Trump’s claims in his Georgia phone call and speeches.

This does not necessarily mean they are false. But evidence needs to be provided to support them, and that is lacking in many cases. In my comments, I will mention which grievances are valid, which are not, and which are difficult to determine their validity. I also provide background information for the tweets or other comments as needed.

But whether valid or not, Trump’s claims of election fraud were said to have led to an insurrection in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021. I call that event the “Capitol Building Uprising,” for reasons that will be explained later. But here, reading this book will help the reader to decide if in fact Trump’s tweets and speeches led to that tragic event.

Related Books by the Author

This book is a follow up to a three-volume set by the author of this book (Gary F. Zeolla) titled Dems Cannot Beat Trump, so They Impeach Trump. That trilogy chronicles the Ukraine impeachment fiasco, that was not really about a July 25, 2019 phone call and related events but about beating Trump in the 2020 election. It also mentions the many other unjustified attacks that have been leveled against Donald J. Trump since the day he announced his candidacy for President in June 2015.

Such unjustified attacks are also discussed in the author’s earlier books God’s Sex Plan (a two-volume set) and Tearing the USA Apart: From Kavanaugh, to Incivility, to Caravans, to Violence, to the 2018 Midterm Elections, and Beyond.

Those unjustified attacks continued on to and through the 2020 election. This book picks up that story. It is a prequel to the following forthcoming books by the author of this book:

Alleged Corruption, Bias, and Fraud: Allegations of the Corruption of Joe Biden, Bias of the Media and Big Tech, and Fraud in the 2020 Election

Tragic Ending to Donald J. Trump’s Great Presidency: Capitol Building Uprising Leads to Impeachment 2.0, as Media and Big Tech Bias and Claims of Election Fraud Continue

Reversing Trump and Dividing America: First 100 Days of the Presidency of Joseph R. Biden Jr., as Media and Big Tech Bias Continues, But Donald J. Trump Fights Back.

The tweets, phone call, and speeches reprinted in this book preview what will be presented in more detail the above three books.

Trump’s 2020 Election Tweets

Chapter One

November 2-15, 2020

These tweets start the day before the November 3, 2020 presidential election.

November 2, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

With your VOTE, we will continue to cut your taxes and regs, support our police, support our military, protect your 2A, defend religious liberty & ensure more products are proudly stamped MADE IN THE USA! Next year will be the greatest economic year in the history of our Country! Nov 2, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Over the next 4 years, we will teach our children to love our Country, honor our history, and always respect our great American Flag—and with God’s help, we will defend the right to life, religious liberty, and the right to KEEP AND BEAR ARMS!

Get Ready to Vote. Nov 2, 2020

To comment, in these two tweets, Trump is both touting his accomplishments in these areas and promising more on each in a second term. Note also his support for the police. That will be important later.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

For 47 years, Joe Biden viciously attacked Black Americans. He called young black men “super predators.” To every black American: I am asking for your vote. This is your one and only chance to show Sleepy Joe what you think of his decision to attack you, jail you, and betray you! Nov 2, 2020

To comment, Trump is referring to the 1992 crime bill, that then Senator Joe Biden supported. That bill led to blacks being disproportionately imprisoned for drug offenses. Trump reversed this problem with his First Step Act. Trump also instituted several other measures that benefited blacks far more than anything Biden ever did, such as Trump’s Opportunity Zones and increased long-term funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Joe Biden would increase refugees from terrorist nations by 700%. His plan would overwhelm your communities and turn Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and the entire Midwest into a refugee camp. I am protecting your families and keeping Radical Islamic Terrorists OUT of our Country! Nov 2, 2020

To comment, this tweet came on the heals of Trump holding rallies in each of these states. He is referring to Biden promising to end the ban on immigration from counties that do not keep sufficient records so that the US can properly vet people before allowing them to immigrate here. Though, Biden and the MSM refer to this as Trump’s “Muslim ban,” it includes any country without proper documentation.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

A vote for Joe Biden is a vote to extinguish and eradicate your state’s auto industry. Biden is a corrupt politician who SOLD OUT Michigan to CHINA. Biden is the living embodiment of the decrepit and depraved political class that got rich bleeding America Dry! Nov 2, 2020

To comment, Trump is referring to terrible trade deals the Obama/ Biden administration signed with China and the trade deficit between China and the USA that increased during that administration, but which decreased during the Trump administration.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

I am asking you to go VOTE for your favorite president, we still have work to do! Let’s WIN, WIN, WIN! Nov 2, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

A vote for Sleepy Joe Biden is a vote to give control of government over to Globalists, Communists, Socialists, and Wealthy Liberal Hypocrites who want to silence, censor, cancel, and punish you. Get out and VOTE #MAGA tomorrow! Nov 2, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Biden has vowed to ABOLISH the American oil and natural gas industries, and BAN fracking. As long as I am President, we will remain the number one producer of oil and natural gas on earth – and we will remain Energy Independent! Nov 2, 2020

To comment, during the campaign, Biden kept going back and forth as to if he would ban fracking or not and if he would take steps to reduce US production of oil and natural gas.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

A vote for me and the Republican Party is a vote for the American Dream! Over the next four years, we will make America into the Manufacturing Superpower of the World, and we will end our reliance on China once and for all. Nov 2, 2020

To comment, the need for the USA to be independent from China was made abundantly clear during the pandemic. Our initial lack of supply of facemasks and other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) was due to our being dependent on China for their manufacture. We are also dependent on China for many of our prescription drugs....

November 7, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT! Nov 7, 2020

To comment, this claim that he won by “a lot” or “by a landslide” is where Trump began exaggerating. If there were to be proven there was sufficient election irregularities to change the outcome, it would be by a slim margin.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

People were screaming STOP THE COUNT & WE DEMAND TRANSPARENCY (As Legal Observers were refused admittance to count rooms)! Nov 7, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Tens of thousands of votes were illegally received after 8 P.M. on Tuesday, Election Day, totally and easily changing the results in Pennsylvania and certain other razor thin states. As a separate matter, hundreds of thousands of Votes were illegally not allowed to be OBSERVED...

....This would ALSO change the Election result in numerous States, including Pennsylvania, which everyone thought was easily won on Election Night, only to see a massive lead disappear, without anyone being allowed to OBSERVE, for long intervals of time, what the happened [sic]...

....Bad things took place during those hours where LEGAL TRANSPARENCY was viciously & crudely not allowed. Tractors blocked doors & windows were covered with thick cardboard so that observers could not see into the count rooms. BAD THINGS HAPPENED INSIDE. BIG CHANGES TOOK PLACE! Nov 7, 2020

To comment, here in PA, only 10,000 ballots were received after 8:00 pm on Election days. But Trump lost PA by over 80,000 votes, so those votes alone would not have changed the outcome. But Trump is correct those ballots should not have been counted and would not have been if my state had followed the law passed by the legislature, but again, SCOPA changed the law.

But otherwise, Trump is correct. Tens of thousands of ballots were counted without election observers present or at least without meaningful access to poll workers. And that “thick cardboard” was pizza boxes that were taped to the windows of a voting place in Philadelphia to keep outsiders from observing as ballots were being counted....

November 8, 2020

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Since when does the Lamestream Media call who our next president will be? We have all learned a lot in the last two weeks! Nov 8, 2020

To comment, this tweet is in response to first the AP then other media outlets calling the election for Biden on Saturday, November 8, 2020. That occurred after PA was called for Biden, after the deadline for those late ballots had passed. But, as Trump and others pointed out, the MSM does not determine the results of a presidential election; the Electoral College does. But the Electoral College vote by the states would not occur until December 14. The results are not certain until then. Therefore, until then, I will refer to this call of the election for Biden by the MSM as the “declared election results.”

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

We believe these people are thieves. The big city machines are corrupt. This was a stolen election. Best pollster in Britain wrote this morning that this clearly was a stolen election, that it’s impossible to imagine that Biden outran Obama in some of these states. Nov 8, 2020

To comment, Trump now began to talk more about a “stolen election.” That led to the slogan and chant, “Stop the Steal!” But evidence needed to be presented that such was the case. Until then, the best that could be pointed to were anomalies that will be discussed as we proceed....

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Rigged Election. Show signatures and envelopes. Expose the massive voter fraud in Georgia. What is Secretary of State and

Andrew Havranek @Andrew_Havranek

The #Wisconsin Supreme Court has ordered @GovEvers to respond to President @realDonaldTrump / @TeamTrump’s lawsuit filed this morning, claiming abuse of absentee voting and illegal activity that affected roughly 220,000 ballots… Dec 1, 2020

Replying to Catherine Herridge @CBS_Herridge

#Election2020results From a DOJ spokesperson: “Some media outlets have incorrectly reported that the Department has concluded its investigation of election fraud and announced an affirmative finding of no fraud in the election. That is not what the Associated Press reported nor… what the Attorney General stated. The Department will continue to receive and vigorously pursue all specific and credible allegations of fraud as expeditiously as possible.” @ClareHymes22 @CBSNews Dec 1, 2020

To comment, this correction is correct. The MSM repeatedly reported the DOJ found “no evidence” of fraud. But what the DOJ really said is it found no evidence of widespread fraud, but it was still investigating. But in fact, it never did interview any of those hundreds of people who signed affidavits as to fraud they witnessed, at least no such interviews were reported as ever occurring.

Josh Hawley @HawleyMO

Lawsuit by Trump allies challenging Pennsylvania election results reaches Supreme Court.

Conservative U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., and others allege that state officials had no right under the state constitution to expand mail-in voting. usatoday.com

This case raises major questions about the legality of Pennsylvania’s mail-in balloting changes. The Supreme Court should hear the case on an emergency basis Dec 1, 2020

To comment, this concerns the opening up of absentee ballots to anyone here in PA, not just those who would truly be absent from their voting precinct on Election Day and those with health conditions that make it difficult to appear in person to vote.

That change was made by our state legislature in 2019. But the statute specifying the preceding standards for absentee ballots is part of the PA Constitution. As such, it should have taken a constitutional amendment to change it, not just a congressionally passed law.

But SCOPA later ruled this objection was made too late, so it refused to even hear the case. Then SCOTUS refused to hear an appeal to it based on the same reason. But if that is true, then the blame falls on the GOP and its passing of this law in the first place. It needs to be changed back before the 2022 election, or we here in PA will never have faith in our elections again. And in fact, as of mid-March 2021, there were efforts underway to do just that....

Trump’s 2020 Election Tweets

Chapter Six

Trump’s Final Tweets/

Twitter Bans Trump

This chapter will present the final three days of tweets by Donald J. Trump and look at Twitter’s closing of his account. The first of these days was January 6, 2021. That morning, Trump had called for a “Save America Rally and March.” The first of his tweets on that day were before that event. He then tweeted again shortly after it ended.

Meanwhile, the Capitol Building Uprising was beginning. Trump initially appeared unaware of the seriousness of that uprising. But when he realized people were getting violent, he responded accordingly, though not to the satisfaction of many.

These events are all covered in detail in my book Tragic Ending to Donald J. Trump’s Great Presidency. But here, those events led to Twitter first temporarily suspending Trump’s account then permanently banning Trump from their platform. That issue will be addressed in this chapter. But first, Trump’s final tweets.

Pre-Uprising Tweets

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Get smart Republicans. FIGHT! Jan 6, 2021

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Just happened to have found another 4000 ballots from Fulton County. Here we go! Jan 6, 2021

To comment, ballots were found, but they were not all for Biden, and this did not change the outcome in Georgia.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, OUR COUNTRY, NEEDS THE PRESIDENCY MORE THAN EVER BEFORE - THE POWER OF THE VETO. STAY STRONG! Jan 6, 2021

To comment, Trump is referring to the fact that both Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue lost their Georgia runoff races. Therefore, the Senate would now be in control of Democrats. That means, to stop a radical left-wing agenda, the Presidency needed to remain in Republican hands, which is to say, Trump needed to stay President.

However, realistically speaking, that was not going to happen. And Trump should have realized that by now. The best he could hope for was that called for 10-day audit to expose election problems, so that they could be corrected for next time. It was highly unlikely such an audit would find enough fraudulent votes to change the election results.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

States want to correct their votes, which they now know were based on irregularities and fraud, plus corrupt process never received legislative approval.  All Mike Pence has to do is send them back to the States, AND WE WIN. Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage! Jan 6, 2021

To comment, I know of no state that was saying they wanted to change their votes. Individual lawmakers might be saying that, but no state legislature had voted such. But most of all, again, VP Pence did not have the authority to “send them back to the States.” Only a vote by Congress could do that. And that was questionable.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd is so happy with the fake voter tabulation process that he can’t even get the words out straight. Sad to watch! Jan 6, 2021

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

These scoundrels are only toying with the @sendavidperdue (a great guy) vote. Just didn’t want to announce quite yet. They’ve got as many ballots as are necessary. Rigged Election! Jan 6, 2021

To comment, Trump is referring to the Purdue/ Ossoff election not yet being officially called. But Dem Ossoff was in the lead, and there were not sufficient remaining votes for David to overtake him, especially since the remaining precincts were mostly blue.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Even Mexico uses Voter I.D. Jan 6, 2021

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

The States want to redo their votes. They found out they voted on a FRAUD. Legislatures never approved. Let them do it. BE STRONG! Jan 6, 2021

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

They just happened to find 50,000 ballots late last night. The USA is embarrassed by fools. Our Election Process is worse than that of third world countries! Jan 6, 2021

To comment, I have no idea what Trump is referring to here. 50k ballots were not found anywhere. But he is correct that many other countries have more secure elections than we do. That is because they by and large do not allow mail-in voting....

Chapter Seven

Georgia Phone Call

On Saturday, January 2, 2021, President Donald Trump made a hour long phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, though it was not reported until Sunday the 3rd.

Unknown to Trump, Brad recorded the call. Brad then released the recording to the press when Trump tweeted what Brad considered to be inaccuracies about the call. That tweet was discussed previously.

The media made much of this call, saying it was Trump illegally trying to get Brad to “find votes” and to overturn the Georgia election, which was called for Joe Biden.

Just as with the Ukraine phone call that led to the first impeachment that is covered in my Impeach trilogy, some were calling for Trump to be impeached over this call. Or better for the Never-Trumpers, for him to be prosecuted criminally when he leaves office. And in fact, as I write the rough draft for this chapter in early February 2021, Georgia officials were considering whether to indict Trump for this phone call for election interference.

In this chapter, I will present the full transcript of the call, interspersed with my comments. Then I will present what the media and others are saying about this call.

As you read this material, ask yourself, “Should Trump be indicted for this call?” Also, “Is the media correctly representing this call?” And, “Did this call contribute to the Capitol Building Uprising?” And if it did, “Should Trump be held accountable for inciting that uprising?”

On the call are Trump, Brad Raffensperger, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Ryan Germany, a lawyer in Raffensperger’s office, and three of Trump’s lawyers. There is also a “Jordan.” I’m not sure who this is, but he might be a another lawyer on Brad’s side.

I will refer to Brad Raffensperger by his first name given the difficulty of typing his last name but by the rest by their last names.

Meadows: Ok. Alright. Mr. President, everyone is on the line. This is Mark Meadows, the Chief of Staff. Just so we all are aware. On the line is Secretary of State, and two other individuals, Jordan and Mr. Germany with him. You also have the attorneys that represent the President, Kurt and Alex and Cleta Mitchell — who is not the attorney of record but has been involved — myself and then the President. So, Mr. President, I’ll turn it over to you.

Trump: OK, thank you very much. Hello Brad and Ryan and everybody. We appreciate the time and the call. So, we’ve spent a lot of time on this, and if we could just go over some of the numbers, I think it’s pretty clear that we won. We won very substantially in Georgia. You even see it by rally size, frankly. We’d be getting 25-30,000 people a rally, and the competition would get less than 100 people. And it never made sense.

To comment, I mentioned in my closing to Section One that Trump could not understand how he lost given how hard he worked and how little Biden worked. Trump’s point here about rally size is another factor in why Trump cannot accept that he lost the election, as what he says here is true.

Not just in Georgia, but in all of his many pre-election rallies, sometimes as many as five a day, Trump had tens of thousands of attendees. Meanwhile, Biden, when he even held a rally, might have tens of people, at best. But then Biden would claim that was because he was practicing safe behavior in light on COVID-19, while Trump was ignoring all of the CDC recommended COVID mitigation protocols.

Trump: But we have a number of things. We have at least 2 or 3 — anywhere from 250-300,000 ballots were dropped mysteriously into the rolls. Much of that had to do with Fulton County, which hasn’t been checked. We think that if you check the signatures — a real check of the signatures going back in Fulton County, you’ll find at least a couple of hundred thousand of forged signatures of people who have been forged. And we are quite sure that’s going to happen.

To comment, since the signatures were not verified or at least the standard for doing so was lowered, it is possible that forged signatures occurred. However, I have no idea where Trump got the idea there were hundreds of thousands of forged signatures. There might have been that many that were not verified. But not verified is not the same as forged....

Chapter Eight

Trump’s Georgia Runoff

Rally Speech

As indicted in his tweets, Trump gave an hour and half long speech in Dalton, Gorgia on January 4, 2021 on behalf of Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in their Senatorial runoff races. These races were important, as they would determine control of the Senate. I will discuss this runoff election in detail in my Tragic Ending book.

But here, the media claimed that Trump only aired his election grievances in this speech. That took the focus off of Kelly and David and their vital runoff election. It also discouraged GOP voters from turning out for the election. By reading this speech, the reader can decide for yourself if in fact these claims are true.

Also consider if Trump’s words in this speech are him encouraging Georgians to come to Washington D.C. on January 6 and to physically attack the Capitol Building. Remember, Dems and the MSM claim it was not just Trump’s speech that morning that will be covered in the next chapter but his speeches since Election Day that fueled the Capitol Building Uprising. His comments in this speech about that election are reflective of ones in previous speeches.

As always, I will introduce my comments by “To comment.” Then I will indicate when I am returning to Trump by saying “Back to Trump.” Note also, Kelly and David’s Democrat opponents are Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, respectively.

Pre-Speech

As Trump took the stage, the crowd was singing “God Bless the USA.” Then they began chanting “USA! USA! USA!” Then often during the speech, the crowd or an announcer interrupted Trump with cheers of “Yeah!” I have not indicated those short interruptions, but I have indicted longer chants by the crowd. Trump now began to speak.

Opening

Well, I want to thank you very much. Hello, Georgia, by the way. There’s no way we lost Georgia. There’s no way. That was a rigged election, but we’re still fighting it, and you’ll see what’s going to happen. We’ll talk about it. I just want to thank you. This is some crowd. Biden was here today, also. They had 14 people in three cars. No, there was no way. I just want to thank you. I’ve had two elections. I won both of them. It’s amazing. I actually did much better on the second one.

To comment, it can be seen that right off of the bat, Trump begins to air his election grievances. But he does so by way of comparing this crowd size to the crowd Biden drew at his Georgia runoff rally. As I said before, Trump, and many others, have a hard time believing he lost the election given the vast difference between the crowds Trump drew throughout the election versus the crowds Biden drew. But then, Biden would claim he purposely limited the size of his crowds due to COVID-19. Back to Trump.

On the Importance of the Runoff

It’s great to be back in this incredible state, the home of hardworking patriots who believe in God, family, and country. Tomorrow, each of you is going to vote in one of the most important runoff elections in the history of our country. Frankly, forget about runoff. One of the most important elections, really. It’s really not a runoff. It’s elections because it’s a biggie. Our country’s depending on you. The whole world is watching the people of Georgia tomorrow. You’ve got to swamp them because everything’s so crooked around. I mean, and not just here.

They were saying, “Oh, he’s complaining about Georgia.” No, no. I’m complaining about eight different states, and I think we’re going to win them all. You’re going to get everyone you know. You’re going to show up at the polls in record numbers. You got to swamp them, and together we’re going to defeat the Democratic streamers and deliver a thundering victory to David Perdue. Where’s David? David, David. We love our David. I know David so well. He’s respected and loved by everyone. And someone that has really been a star in Washington, Kelly Loeffler. Where is Kelly? Where is our Kelly? What a job you’ve done. Thank you. I will tell you about Kelly.

To comment, Trump is mixing his election grievances in with the importance of the runoff election and promoting David and Kelly.

Note that Kelly was present for this rally, but David was not, as he was in COVID isolation due to being exposed to someone with the Coronavirus. He never got sick himself, but it did cramp his campaign in the final days before the election.

Back to Trump, but first with a chant by the crowd....

Chapter Nine

Trump’s Save America

Rally Speech

As indicted in his tweets, Trump called for a “Save America Rally and March” on January 6, 2021. Tens of thousands of Trump supporters showed up. Trump gave an hour and half long speech. It was while this speech was still occurring that the Capitol Building Uprising began. Nevertheless, Dems and the MSM blamed this speech for the Uprising, claiming it “incited” the crowed to storm the Capitol Building and attempt an insurrection against the US government.

By reading this speech, the reader can decide for yourself if in fact this speech incited a violent assault on the Capitol Building and an insurrection.

The format here will be the same as in the previous chapter, except I will jump right into Trump’s speech without any further background. And Trump will jump right into his speech without any kind of normal opening.

Crowd Size

The media will not show the magnitude of this crowd. Even I, when I turned on today, I looked, and I saw thousands of people here, but you don’t see hundreds of thousands of people behind you because they don’t want to show that. We have hundreds of thousands of people here, and I just want them to be recognized by the fake news media.

Turn your cameras please and show what’s really happening out here because these people are not going to take it any longer. They’re not going to take it any longer. Go ahead. Turn your cameras, please. Would you show? They came from all over the world, actually, but they came from all over our country. I just really want to see what they do. I just want to see how they covered. I’ve never seen anything like it. But it would be really great if we could be covered fairly by the media.

To comment, there are always debates about crowd size with every D.C. gathering. The D.C. Park Police stopped estimating crowd sizes after it estimated the “Million Man March” back in the 1990s at 300,000. They were much criticized for that allegedly low estimate and gave up on its official estimates.

But I have heard crowd size estimates for this rally from a low of 14,000, to most commonly tens of thousands, but with Trump and some attendees saying hundreds of thousands. Back to Trump.

Attacking the MSM and Big Tech

The media is the biggest problem we have as far as I’m concerned, single biggest problem, the fake news and the Big Tech. Big Tech is now coming into their own. We beat them four years ago. We surprised them. We took them by surprise. And this year, they rigged an election. They rigged it like they’ve never rigged an election before.

By the way, last night, they didn’t do a bad job either, if you notice. I’m honest. I just, again, I want to thank you. It’s just a great honor to have this kind of crowd and to be before you. Hundreds of thousands of American patriots are committed to the honesty of our elections and the integrity of our glorious Republic.

All of us here today do not want to see our election victory stolen by emboldened radical left Democrats, which is what they’re doing, and stolen by the fake news media. That’s what they’ve done, and what they’re doing. We will never give up. We will never concede, it doesn’t happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved.

“Stop the Steal”

Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore, and that’s what this is all about. To use a favorite term that all of you people really came up with, we will stop the steal. Today, I will lay out just some of the evidence proving that we won this election, and we won it by a landslide. This was not a close election. I say sometimes jokingly, but there’s no joke about it, I’ve been in two elections. I won them both. And the second one, I won much bigger than the first.

Almost 75 million people voted for our campaign, the most of any incumbent President by far in the history of our country, 12 million more people than four years ago. I was told by the real pollsters, we do have real pollsters. They know that we were going to do well, and we were going to win. What I was told, if I went from 63 million, which we had four years ago, to 66 million, there was no chance of losing. Well, we didn’t go to 66. We went to 75 million, and they say we lost. We didn’t lose.

By the way, does anybody believe that Joe had 80 million votes? Does anybody believe that? He had 80 million computer votes. It’s a disgrace. There’s never been anything like that. You could take third world countries. Just take a look, take third world countries. Their elections are more honest than what we’ve been going through in this country. It’s a disgrace. It’s a disgrace.

Even when you look at last night, they’re all running around like chickens with their heads cut off with boxes. Nobody knows what the [expletive] is going on. There’s never been anything like this. We will not let them silence your voices. We’re not going to let it happen. Not going to let it happen.

To comment, Trump’s comments about “last night” here and in the previous section are in regard to the Georgia runoff election. As discussed in the previous chapter, it was won by the two Dem candidate, giving Dems control of Congress. With his first comment, it sounded like Trump did not believe there was fraud in that election. But this one makes it sound like he thinks the election officials are still in confusion. Back to Trump....

Chapter Eleven

Conclusion

President Donald J. Trump tweeted many legitimate election grievances in his many tweets after Election Day 2020. He also aired many legitimate election grievances in his phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State and in his post-election speeches.

His most legitimate grievance was in regard to the changing of election laws by entities other than state legislatures, as mandated by the US Constitution. Also valid were his concerns about the lack of meaningful access for election observers and the lowering or lack of signature verification standards.

However, Trump also tweeted or aired many invalid concerns. The most invalid was the claim of Dominion voting machines flipping ballots. He also greatly exaggerated the number of illegal votes cast, be they by dead people, out of state voters, or felons voting. Given these exaggerations, even if all of the illegal ballots were discounted, it is doubtful that would have changed the election results in any given state, let alone swung the final Electoral College vote count to Trump’s favor....
