The DNC, The Coronavirus, and the Economy
By Gary F. Zeolla
At the beginning of 2020, the Trump economy was bustling. But then came the Coronavirus (CV) in late January 2020 and the resultant shutdowns in March through April, and the economy took a serious downturn. By mid-August, much of the country has reopened, and the economy has come back some, but it is nowhere near where it was at the beginning of the year.
The DNC
Also in mid-August, the Democratic National Convention (DNC) was occurring. In it, Joe Biden was formerly nominated as the Dem presidential candidate and Kamala Harris as his VP running mate. The various speakers during the DNC spent much more time criticizing Donald Trump than they did promoting what a Biden/ Harris administration would do for America. Their criticism centered on two points: Trump’s character and his handling of the CV and resulting economic downturn.
I address the lies Dems tell about Trump’s character on my politics website, in my book Tearing the USA Apart, and in my three-volume set Dems Cannot Beat Trump, So They Impeach Trump, especially in Volume Two. Thus, let me address the second criticism here.
Trump vs. Biden and the CV
On my Covid website, I detail the CV crisis from its beginnings to the present. In those extensive writings, I detail what the Trump administration and state and local authorities have done right and wrong.
Looking over all that has happened, it is hard to see what a Biden/ Harris administration would have done fundamentally different than the Trump/ Pence administration has done. Yet, in the DNC, Trump was blamed for every CV death. However, I would bet Joe Biden would have handled this crisis far worse than Trump.
Joe called Trump’s China travel ban, “hysterical xenophobia,” so I doubt he would have enacted such a ban. Joe lacks the creativity and business connections that Trump has that enabled Trump to forge government/ business partnerships that led to the massive build-up of our supplies of ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) and to “Operation Warp Speed” to quickly develop a vaccine.
Trump issued his “15 days to slow the spread” as soon as the health authorities in his CV task force recommended it, then he extended it to 45 days immediately upon their advice. He then called for governors to reopen their states. Many did so, mostly Republican governors, but many did not, mostly Democrat governors. And Trump recommended the wearing of masks, even calling it “patriotic,” though a bit slowly. But then, the heath authorities were ambivalent about it initially.
Biden has called for a national mask mandate, but as President, he would not have the authority to enforce such a mandate, just as Trump does not now. Nor does the President have the authority to institute a national shutdown. But Dems and the mainstream media (MSM) have called for him to do both. With the latter, Dems and the MSM are being disingenuous in blaming Trump for the faltering economy. If they had their way, all 50 states would still be shut down, and the economy would be far worse off.
Bottom line, Trump is not to blame for neither the CV nor the economic downturn. In fact, things would be far worse if we currently had a President Biden. In fact, it was the strength of the Trump economy going into this pandemic that has kept the economy from getting even worse and enabling it to come back as much as it already has.
Why Has the CV Hit America So Hard?
But why has the CV hit America so hard? It was not Trump’s fault. I put the blame on four reasons. The first is the five idiotic governors, including my governor, PA Gov. Tom Wolfe, that forced CV positive patients back into nursing homes. That led to the deaths of tens of thousands of nursing home residents. In fact, fully 50% of CV deaths in the USA have been in nursing homes.
Second, when the states began to open up, there was not a surge in cases, no matter what the MSM claims. When cases surged was when the protests and riots swept the nation. Those protest and riots correlate much more strongly with the surges in cases than the reopenings.
Third, widespread use of hydroxychloroquine + zinc + Azithromycin would have greatly reduced the number of deaths. But since Trump recommended hydroxychloroquine, Dems and the MSM politicized it, scaring people away from it. When it was tired, it was not used correctly, with these three elements all used early in an infection.
Fourth, we have an unhealthy American population, with two-thirds of Americans who are overweight, one-third obesely so, 100 million Americans with diabetes, and 100 million with hypertension. Those three conditions put a person at high risk of serious consequences from a CV infection. In fact, the vast majority of deaths in the USA of those under 65 have had one or more of these preexisting conditions.
Conclusion
None of this is Trump’s fault. It is the fault of Dem governors for not protecting nursing home residents, of Dems and the MSM in promoting the protests and ignoring the riots, Dems and the MSM in politicizing the use of hydroxychloroquine, and of individual Americans not taking personal responsibility for their health The last point Dems and the MSM they would call “fat-shaming,” but it needs to be said. Again, I detail and document all of these points on my Covid website.
Hydroxychloroquine Studies
Do a search on “hydroxychloroquine studies” on DuckDuckGo. It will turn up a long list of links to studies. Most are positive, some are negative. Read through them and decide for yourself if the widespread use of hydroxychloroquine would have reduced Coronavirus deaths as I claim in this article. Be sure to note which studies used hydroxychloroquine + zinc + Aureomycin and which omitted one or more of the latter items. It is this threesome that has the best evidence. If you do the same search on Google, it will turn up far more negative and fewer positive studies. The bias of Google is obvious, which is one reason I switched from it to DuckDuckGo years ago.

Dems Cannot Beat Trump, So They Impeach Trump
This three-volume set covers the impeachment of Donald J. Trump that occurred over the fall of 2019 to the winter of 2020. It was yet one more attempt to oust the President from office by Democrats, who never accepted he won in 2016. A complaint about a phone call between President Trump and Ukraine President Zelensky led an impeachment inquiry to begin in early September 2019, and the resultant proceedings tore America apart at the seams.
